Snake River Angler Fly Fishing Report for December 22nd, 2014

Snake River Cooler temps in the area compared to what we had through much of early December, yet still quite a bit above average.  Nonetheless, it is cold so bundle up. Nymphing is the name of the game.  There is some surface action on chironomids  the early and mid-afternoon hours. The best action has been in side channels in riffles and troughs.  Flats have some action in mid and late afternoon.  We are primarily using lightly weighted nymphs in…

Snake River Angler Fly Fishing Report for December 8th, 2014

Snake River Pretty warm temps over the past week and they will be even warmer over the next week w2ith temperatures on the Snake forecasted to be in the mid-40s.  This should be more than enough to get some blue-winged olives kicked started to accompany the chironomids on the surface.
